Art is an amazing this. It can be used to display one’s talent sure, but it also has the ability help people express their own thoughts and feelings. Some people choose to display abstract images, whereas others prefer still life, and otherwise.

Wildlife art in particular can be some of the most beautiful and detailed. Of course, the details and interpretation depend on the artist. Here is a look at a few beautiful pieces of wildlife art that are quite true to life.

Awesome Halloween 2016 Dog Costumes

I’m sure you won’t be surprised when you discover the reason for choosing dog costumes rather than any other type of pet… yes, they are some of the only pets that will allow you to put them into a costume and actually stay in it. If I tried to put a costume on my cat, well, there wouldn’t be much of a costume left.

If you are looking for dog costumes for Halloween 2016, here are some ideas. Some are cuter than others… some, you can simply hope that the dog has a nice personality. You’ll know the one I’m talking about!

These costumes… well, they are getting ready for winter. I’ve seen people less costumed than this and they still get candy, so why can’t these darling dogs?

 

No one is allowed to touch his candy… can you tell? Lol, so now you know which one I was referring to when I mentioned the nice personality!

 

More pumpkins. Yes, the pumpkin is a fairly common choice but no dog looks exactly the same in one of these. Plus the canine on the left opted to wear a wreath along with it.

 

This little devil probably isn’t so little… but well behaved all the same!

 

He’s a duck… can’t you tell? He used his own imagination. It was a DIY project lol.

 

Well, here’s some Halloween 2016 costume ideas. Some are probably cuter than they are practical, but hey… not all pups can be put into the pumpkins!

 

 

New! Penguins at Miami Seaquarium

Aquariums are one of the most awesome things to visit when on vacation. Of course, if you have one in your area, it can be a great idea to visit it often as well. It’s not just about learning but about seeing these amazing creatures in something that is fairly close to their natural habitats.

While there a vast number of aquariums in North America, if you are visiting Florida and will be in the Miami area, you simply have to go see the animals at the Miami Seaquarium. They have Flipper the dolphin, a killer whale, the tigers, the animal rehab center, and more.

And guess what… now they have PENGUINS!

 

Yes, these adorable creatures now have a good home at the Miami Seaquarium. You can watch them eat, play, waddle around, and whatever else they do.

Animal Illustrations As Clear As Photos!

I have never been able to draw… well, except for stick people but that’s not included lol. So when I see illustrations as clear as photographs, I am amazed. There are some people with a lot of talent out there.

For this post, I want to share some illustrations that are as clear or clearer than photographs. Given, some might have been edited through image editors – that’s a detail I don’t know. Whatever the case, these animal illustrations are stunning.

This illustration has a lot going on. Sheep, a teddy bear, two children, deer and it’s babies… and even a great landscape. If the subject matter weren’t arranged as such, it could come off as a real photograph.

 

I love this illustration. I think the colors and how the scenery is arranged in amazing. The chameleon stands out perfectly. And again, the amount of detail is a wow factor.

 

The bald eagle has always had the respect of a lot of people. Thus, it is not just in a lot of photographs but illustrations as well. This one caught my attention because the bird is so clear in the image.

 

This image reminds me of Sleeping Beauty… the beautiful forest, the animals all there getting along. The only thing missing is the singing girl. Whatever the artist had in mind, they did a wonderful job.

 

This illustration is almost at the opposite end of the one missing Sleeping Beauty. It is darker and gives a completely different picture. However, it is still magnificent and really creates an atmosphere.

I absolutely love these illustrations. Sure, they may have had a little editing with some digital software, but I’m really not sure. There are people can do all of this type of artwork including the smallest detail with their pencils, paint brushes, and other tools. Kudos to these brilliant people!

Lazy Kitty Cats – Pictures Than Cat Lovers Must See

Any cat lover will tell you that they are the cutest creatures ever… they are also smart, sneaky, mischievous, and the list goes on. Well, here are some pictures to remind you of their softer and dopier side. 🙂

To start off the cuteness journey, these cute little kittens. Don’t you just want to cuddle them all up?

 

Okay so you probably know that cats can sleep just about anywhere… here’s more proof. I’m not really sure where the cat ends and where the cat bed begins lol but it certainly is adorable.

 

This “little” kitty certain has it made. He even has his own couch! Lol, looks mighty comfy. 🙂

 

It’s okay, you can say it…. “Awwww”. Yea, what a cutie. This little kitty looks so relaxed and happy… although he still knows something is going on around him with his ears all perked up.

 

Just like a lot of cats, or virtually any cat, this one still has his eyes open. They have the knack of looking like they are asleep but keeping an eye or two open.

 

There’s nothing quite so adorable as seeing an animal cuddled up to a stuffed toy. Just gotta love it – this kitty cat included. Whether a cat toy or not, he’s certainly loving his cuddles.

So hopefully, these cat lover pictures were enough to make you smile for the rest of the day, I know they’ll work for me! 🙂

Awesome Animal Art

There are artists of all kinds. Since I love animals, some of the best art, in my opinion, is that which features animals. So today, I decided to feature some awesome animal art.

You have to admit that this is a beautiful grizzly bear. There are some fine lines in there so you can see the hair on the bear. The features are done very well.

 

This tiger is more of an abstract piece of art. It’s unique and colorful while adding a very real image of a tiger in the middle.

 

Yes, even cartoons like this owl are pieces of art. This particular piece is very cute and people of any age can enjoy it.

 

An unusual elephant indeed but a gorgeous one at that. This beautiful piece of animal art is colorful, unique, and amazing.

 

There is a lot of detail put into this cat art – the fur, the nose, the eyes. And speaking of the eyes, aren’t they absolutely stunning? I love the color. If you look closely, there are details put into the color of the eyes as well. Amazing!

 

I love the layers in this African art. The black foreground on top of the map is awesome. The contrast really makes this art.

A Tribute To Squirrels – They’re Just So Cute!

Unfortunately, sometimes these little guys are known as rodents, but they are very cute small animals, no matter what you call them.

Growing up, we had over half a dozen squirrels that used to visit out home. We had a feeder put outside. As kids, we always used to watch for them after school. They were so cute, how they nibbled away on their food.

As an adult, I still love to see these small creatures. Every now and then, I’ll see one in the woods behind the house, or one will run across the road.

Depending on their experience with humans, squirrels can be quite friendly. At the park, sometimes it’s possible to approach them with some nuts or seeds. If they already eating, you can watch them nibble on whatever they have found.

Even though I love these little animals, I can’t very well put out a bowl of food for them where I live now… the cat next door might like it but the squirrels wouldn’t. So, I will continue to look for them in the woods and in the park – wherever they might happen to be.

You might be wondering the point of this post. I guess it was just a bit of nostalgia. Seeing a few of these animals around and remembering the times of feeding the 6 or 7 when I was a kid.

Anyway, squirrels are cute little creatures that I’ve grown to love. I only hope that someone else out there things there as lovely too. 🙂

Adorable Baby Animal Photos

Pictures of baby animals have to be some of the cutest out there. Of course, they tend to grow up and yes, they can still be sooo adorable. But why not give some appreciation to them before this happens.
